The lawyers of Sindh have great understanding with the media and never will be a seed of difference between them, Vice Chairman, Sindh Bar Council (SBC) Mahmood-ul-Hasan, said here yesterday. He was addressing a joint press conference along with representatives of Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA), Karachi Bar Association (KBA), Malir Bar Association (MBA), Hyderabad High Court Bar and District Bar, Dadu and Ghotki district bar associations.
The press conference today was to express concern and condemn the incident of Lahore in which media was targeted and abused, he said adding that there were some interested PCO Judges who are behind such incidents. “My friend Ahsan Bond, Pervez Inayat Malik are there,” he said claiming that they are supporting the unruly lawyers group.
He deplored that a media trial of lawyers was launched. “Let us identify the black sheep among the lawyers and journalists,” he said.
The lawyers of Sindh acknowledge the role of media in their movement and the professionals of both the fields enjoy excellent relations. This will never happen in Sindh and we will not allow any element to do so, he said re-assuringly.
